BIO

I am a writing coach because I care what students have to say. I believe in the importance of self-expression, especially on a college application. I will not let you be defined solely by test scores or a grade point average— I will help you to define yourself.

I am a graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University, with a B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, and a B.A. in Dance! In addition to receiving departmental honors from the English department, I worked for three years as a Barnard Writing Fellow (a writing coach!) for Columbia students. I coached a large scope of college-level writing, from scholarship applications to English papers, and I proudly hold an award for excellence in this work.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

- - - - 4 years ago, I was right where you are. I know how stressful the process can be, how hard it is to balance applications with school work. I know what it takes to make a college essay stand out, and I'm here to take the guessing out of it.
Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing concentration from Barnard College of Columbia University ('24)
- - - - received Departmental Honors and graduated with a 3.9 GPA in English
      - on the Dean's List for seven semesters
      - excellent knowledge of grammar and syntax, smart and capable editor
3 years as a Creative Writing Fellow at Barnard College of Columbia University
- - - - received the Johanna Rosengarten Garfield ’53 Writing Fellow Award for excellence as a Writing Fellow
      - completed "The Writer's Process," a class at Barnard College dedicated to progressive writing-coach training
      - held regular one-on-one writing coaching sessions with Columbia students on college papers, scholarship applications, senior thesis projects, graduate school applications, and creative writing projects
      - collaborated with professors throughout semester-long courses to ensure students gained specific college writing skills
      - held group workshops for college writing skills
